Apple Mac
The latest Apple Mac Pro machines have a new software product called Boot Camp. This allows you to run Windows Vista and Windows 7 on an Apple Mac. We have not seen this in action with our own eyes but we have been reliably told that our products will run on the latest Mac machines and do now have several clients using Mac's to run our software. There are no negative reports to date.
However we do urge you to check out the links below and perhaps fully test a demo version of our software prior to purchase as there may be some potential issues to be aware of. The 2 issues we should make you aware of are:
- 1. Printing is not always reliable. This is simply down to the inability of the MAC to link to SOME windows print drivers.
- 2. Apple state that they run a "native" version of Microsoft Office. We will be linking to Microsoft Office in the future so this might be a slight limitation at a future date. However it would not interfere with the majority of the functionality of our products.
We are therefore confident that our products will run on the latest MAC's but there may be some slight compatibility issues which should not limit the main functionality of the product.
