Refund Policy

This page describes how we calculate refunds and outlines our policy on refunds. Our refunds policy does not affect your statutory rights.

We provide a full working copy of all our software products either by way of a download from our website or via a CD you might have requested. This demo version works for 30 days and you can even switch between versions so you get a true feel for our software. As such we really do not see why a refund should be required but we do recognise that from time to time there may be some reason for a refund request.

Our refunds policy

When you send a CD back to us we will notify you when we have received the item by email. We will notify you with a decision confirming the amount and method of refund. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase within three weeks of our receiving your application for a refund.

CD's should be returned to the original supplier and electronic download refunds should be directed to the original supplier.

Note: A 10% restocking fee will be deducted from any refund as we are not always able to recover original credit card processing fees and other administrative costs.

How refunds are calculated

If you are returning a CD because of an error on our part or, in accordance with our returns policy, because it is damaged or defective, we will refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you and pay your costs of returning it to us. You must return the item packaged securely so that no further damage is incurred and enclose a letter stating precisely what the damage was on receipt.

We will check all returned items returned as damaged or defective. In the event we find no fault, we reserve the right to re-charge you for the item and to recover our fees and expenses from you. A 10% restocking fee will be charged if no defect is found.

When you are withdrawing from your purchase within the 30 day cooling off period, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund only the cost of the item. We will not refund the cost of delivery or other services provided to you in connection with your purchase. We will also deduct any further administrative costs incurred such as any credit card processing charges incurred at the time of the original purchase. We will also require a "reasonable" statement of why you are requesting a refund. Ambrit Software reserves the right to refuse a refund if a valid reason is not provided for seeking a refund. In all cases a 10% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
